C-FB ISD school counselors are professional educators and specialists. They can develop an educational guidance plan, counsel with students, respond to student needs in crisis situations, orient students to new school settings and participate actively in the referral process of students to special programs and/or services.
 
Jo Gillen has 17 years of experience in education with 15 of those in C-FB ISD. Mrs. Gillen has served C-FB ISD since 1994 in several capacities including Teen Parenting Instructor, Special Populations Facilitator, and Director of Career Placement Center. Mrs. Gillen has her bachelor's degree in education as well as master's degrees in education and counseling.
