For nearly 40-years Newman Smith High School has provided quality instruction to students in the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School District. Our campus vision is simple..."Learning and Achievement." All students will take a curriculum of rigor that includes Advanced Placement and dual credit courses. Additionally, learners will meet state standards at satisfactory or above, meet standards (3 or above) on AP examinations, score above national norms on SAT/ACT and other standardized instruments. NSHS students will graduate in four years with college credit. They will be  ready for admission to competitive post-secondary degree programs without remediation. Also, the Newman Smith Faculty does more than teach. The Smith Faculty inform, challenge, and prepares learners to compete in the 21st Century Economy! The Smith Faculty and Staff will equip students with critical reasoning, critical reading and technology skills in order to develop the next generation of creative leaders!
